Duo: DJ phones heavy on style
«FEATURES REVIEW || Monticelli

Radiopaq Duo Headphones - iPhone/iPod friendly - are bright and fashionable DJ-style and ideal for people on the move.
What's
so unique about these headphones? And are they expensive to buy?
Duo, Radiopaq's first attempt at over-ear headphones, have been designed to
look very slick and stylish - a colourful addition to its existing
range of terrific high-end headwear.
Bring on the bass
The Duo features 40mm sound drivers to deliver a wide frequency range with an accurate stereo separation. This trendy DJ-style design results in a very detailed response with surprisingly rich bass, which should suit everyone.
For those you use portable players, including Apple iPods and iPhones, not only does the gold-plated 3.5mm jack mean you get high-fidelity sound but these Duo headphones fold flat so become compact - ideal for those on the go. And the thick cable running from each ear cup to the jack connection seems durable and measures 1.5m (4ft).
Stand out in style
These
lightweight and stylish over-ear headphones remained very comfortable,
even during long periods, thanks to the deep 15mm ear cushions, the
adjustable and padded headband as well as the cool
swivel and tilt cups.
Five colours to choose from to suit the fashion-conscious - comprising attractive range of candy green, candy purple, high gloss copper, metallic silver and soft touch black.
Put to the test
We used a cross-section of carefully-selected active people to check how good these Radiopaq Duo Headphones really are.
Within a week our trio of testers - a teenager, a woman in her 30s and a former DJ in his 40s - all came back with the same question: "Are you sure that these are only that price? "
"They were cool to listen to and impressed with their bold, bright colour. The bass really comes through, even when the volume is pushed loud, I'm impressed by the good quality sound of these cans!"

The fitness fanatic lady explained: "I liked the fold-up facility as
that meant I could carry them around with me and stick in my gym bag.
The gold-plated jack connection is a must-have nowadays and the good
quality cable seems rare fro headphones under £100. Certainly I'll
recommend these."
The 40-something man admitted: "The treble wasn't perfect but the bass was buzzing. The chrome design running through the ear cups gives them a mean yet expensive look, and the lightness of these was quite shocking. Overall a big thumbs up, and a bargain to boot!"
Desirable and remarkable
Despite
high-end specifications, Radiopaq's Duo is very reasonably priced at
£19.99 - surprising as they have the definite look and feel of much
more expensive headphones. Killer designer looks, versatile features
and fold-flat mobility without
the big price tag adds up to high specifications at a bargain price.
