The Chinese ace is best remembered for her emphatic run to the semi-finals of the 2010 Australian Open, where ex-Eastbourne champion Justine Henin halted her, and the last four at 2008 Wimbledon - stopped by Venus Williams.
Veteran Zheng finished runner-up at 2010 Warsaw Open in May, and comes to Eastbourne fresh as she has skipped a return to the AEGON Classic at Birmingham.
Struggled during the 2009 grass court season, with just one win a-piece at Birmingham, Eastbourne and the Wimbledon Championsips.
Reached second round at 2010 French Open.
Chances of winning | Not going to win the event but will certainly push some of the big names as Zheng is sharp and fresh, having not played on the WTA Tour since her second round exit at Roland Garros.
