Marion Bartoli

Having made it a hat-trick of semi-final appearances at Eastbourne, the French ace will be eager to go one step further and reach the final of the 2010 AEGON International.

The former Wimbledon runner-up has an unorthodox game suited to fast surfaces and will be keen for a chance in fortunes after a disappointing 2010 season before the grass court campaign.

The ace of 2010 has been a semi-final defeat at the hands of Venus Williams at the Miami Sony Ericsson Open.

Bartoli has had a recent run-in with compatriot Aravane Rezai at the 2010 French Open following her Rezai's high profile win at the 2010 Madrid Masters.

After the pair controversially met at Roland Garros, with Bartoli triumphant, Bartoli said:

I have no animosity against Aravane [Rezai]. It's good we have many French players, I take it as a motivating factor. It helps me focus, practice, and try and improve every day - I think that's the most important.

I said it's obvious Rezai had some really great results in the past few weeks. I think there is nothing negative that I said about her or game or whatever.

Reached third round at 2010 French Open.

Chances of winning | Desperate to find much-needed form, and grass should present her best chance to claim a title in 2010. Unlikely to win but should ease into the quarter-finals.
